TSGARC will be supporting the 1st Wotton Scout Group at this years Jamboree on the Air along with the Gloucester Amateur Radio and Electronics Society<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(GARES).\u00a0 We have been granted the callsign GB1WSG for the event.<\/p>\n

We will be providing equipment and personnel at the Conygres scout camp at Wotton-under-Edge.<\/p>\n

The current plan is to arrive around 4pm on Friday 17th October\u00a0and stay until approximately 5pm on Sunday.\u00a0 Some members will be camping on site during the Jamboree. Facilities include flushing toilets, cold running water and refrigeration.<\/p>\n

Those planning to attend should make their plans clear to Paul, M0ZMB.<\/p>\n

Catering will ideally be communal with a Fish and Chip dinner on Saturday.<\/p>\n

We plan to put on two stations (VHF and HF) with three other activities. The five areas will be as follows;<\/p>\n

1. A VHF station using suitable antenna primarily for communication with Woodhouse Park.<\/p>\n

2. A HF station possibly in the store room. this station will primarily be run by GARES.<\/p>\n

3. A CW station for encoding and decoding of CW along with practice.\u00a0 Scouts will be invited to TX CW to Woodhouse Park.<\/p>\n

4. Flight radar connected through to a projector.<\/p>\n

5. CCTV. Cameras in the hall, store room and PTZ outside.<\/p>\n
