A couple of prospective new members came to the club and a discussion was had about LoRa WAN. A few club members have now setup a few nodes for LoRa WAN using MeshCore code. Paul (M0ZMB) had been experimenting for a few years, along with all his other projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is LoRAWAN?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) is a low-power, wide-area networking protocol designed to wirelessly connect battery-operated “things” to the internet in regional, national, or global networks. It targets key IoT requirements such as secure, bidirectional communication, mobility, and localization services, operating in unlicensed radio spectrums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
