The Thornbury and South Gloucestershire Amateur Radio Club (TSGARC) always welcomes new members.  You don’t need to have a license to join, so come along to the club, get to know the current members and see what we are about…

Non-members are allowed to three Wednesday evenings before being required to become a member.  When you decide to become a member please bring a completed TSGARC MEMBERSHIP FORM.

The TSGARC currently charges:

Yearly fee Weekly attendance
Those in full-time education £5 £1
All others £20 £3.50

The TSGARC meets in the Buckingham room at the Chantry in Thornbury.  At the Chantry we have installed a dual band 2m and 70cm collinear antenna and a 40m dipole. To use these antennas we have a Yaesu FT-450 and other equipment loaned by members.

We are affiliated to the RSGB and as such are covered by their Public Liability insurance.

As well as the normal club evenings we plan and participate in other events such as the Scouting Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) and additionally arrange working parties to assist our less able members in antenna erection.

For training we have members who can assist in your training requirements and four assessors for completion of the Foundation and Intermediate assessments.
